These are a few of my favorite things
- 20 minutes of stretching in the morning
- A good, bold cup of coffee
- A nice breakfast
- Deciding which cigar I’m going to smoke today
Ah yes, cigars. Wouldn’t it be great if we could try them all? If only we had the time and the means. We hear this comment a lot at the Ol’ Havana Cigar Lounge, “I’ve never had a bad cigar here.” When it comes to our walk-in humidor, I’m personally dedicated to separating the wheat from the shaft, the “good” from the “meh”.
Here’s a list of some of my favorites.
The Flor de las Antillas Toro by My Father, Cigar of the Year 2012. A little-known treasure of a cigar. Customers thank me when I recommend this one.

The Perdomo 20th Anniversary Sun Grown Epicure, aged to perfection with incredible favors. One of my go-to cigars.
Henry Clay War Hawk Rebellious.
A tasty new blend for a cigar that’s been around since 1840. Incredibly consistent, nice medium and easy smoke.

The Montecristo M comes in one size, called good! It may be the best Connecticut I’ve smoked. Spicy favor that changes nicely as the cigar burns. Pricy but worth it.
The Oliva Master Blend #3
I’ve never had an Oliva that wasn’t exceptional. This is one of the best of the best. Highly rated, full-bodied with complex flavors of dark chocolate and coffee.

I have other favorites to share but you’ll have to come in and quiz me. I so enjoy recommending the best cigar for each person’s individual taste.
